WINNERS CIRCLE
|
Winners Circle was founded in 1972 by a professional thoroughbred handicapper who also was a computer programmer. These qualities brought together the first software that was marketed by WC. Race lines had to be selected and typed in manually and as time went on, a "cipher" module was developed that read downloaded race forms and automatically handicapped the races. These features followed new upgrades and changes to the basic platform of the software, which improved the performance of each step up. Today’s software is the culmination of these years of development and fine-tuning. The current version of the STEALTH software was released late in 1998 and has performed well, passing the test of time. WINNERS CIRCLE is a Users Group, not a software vendor. A new member purchases the right to use the STEALTH software and becomes a member of the users group. Group members work together, helping new members adjust to and become proficient with the software. We do not "peddle and forget" as many vendors do. We are committed to interacting with others in order to provide "tips" and help in selection of winners. We conduct a chat session each Monday evening at 8PM CST to answer questions, provide assistance, and sometime to just "shoot the bull". Over time we begin to become more attached to each other and feel as if we are truly friends even though we have never personally met. The founder of WINNERS CIRCLE was a thoroughbred owner, former trainer, and professional handicapper who combined this with an outstanding knowledge of computer programming. Sadly, he passed away at his home in February 1999. Members of the group stepped up and kept the organization alive. Members with computer expertise and outstanding handicapping knowledge stepped up and made a difference in whether WINNERS CIRCLE survived or crashed. Happily we are growing and succeeding in providing our members with the most successful handicapping software available today or in the future. |
